Programs for Children

Our children are arguably the most important part of our church. FUMC clearly understands this and provides a complete program of services, designed to provide a variety of activities to appeal to the varying interests of children. Before they become teenage leaders, we intensely feel the need to give our children a firm foundation for their later Christian responsibilities. Our programs for children are constructed with this thought in mind. Each link below provides information about the specific program.

Weekday Preschool

Do you have children who need a great start into a school environment? Our CFUMC preschool is directed by Ms. Linda Niles. Linda's dedication and love for children clearly shows through everyday. Click on the image to learn more about our weekday preschool at CFUMC.

Sunday School

From Preschool through Preteen we offer Sunday Classes that will entertain your children as well as instill in them Christian Values. Choose a class based on the age of your child. Our Children's Minister, Christi Mitchell, is constantly seeking new and challenging activities for the children of CFUMC to make Sunday School and Church an enjoyable experience that children will remember with a positive feeling.

If you have infants or very young children, you can be comfortable with leaving them in the care of adults in our nursery. Offered during Hydrate and Traditional Worship as well as most other activities for adults, the nursery allows you to attend activities and focus on your nurturing, without having to attend to the needs of your children.

Children's Worship

We have a program specially tailored for keeping the attention and involvement of children. For some age groups, the program includes attendance at parts of both Contemporary and Traditional worship, concluding with a worhip service of their own.

Children's Choirs

Conducted by our talented and musically trained Associate Pastor, CFUMC offers opportunities for children to participate in musical programs conducted periodically throughout the year. This program uses not just vocals but also performances using bells and percussion instruments.

A national program professionally prepared for children, AWANA (Approved Workmen are not Ashamed) is offered on Wednesday evenings during the school year. So, while you are attending Bible Study, your children can also be involved in learning activities.

God's World

A special program for children to learn exciting things about nature and the world around us. The 2017 edition is over but, take heart, there will be another one next year.

Vacation Bible School

Dates are July 10-14 2017, 5:30-8:00pm. Click on the image at left or anywhere here to sign your child up!

Worship Arts Camp

Another special program for children to learn to express their artistic sides. Includes different areas of interest each year. The program for 2017 is set for 24 - 28 July. Please contact Christi Mitchell by email at: to register and she will keep you updated on how to proceed from that point.
